Elizabeth would not have kept this secret from Darcy. Jane, too, was helping Lydia and Jane's "delicate sense of honour" would have revealed this to her husband. Bingley and Darcy were good friends and through their wives were considered brothers. Between two intimate and prosperous households surely assisting the Wickhams was not kept a secret.
