JA doesn't tell us the value/cost of the estate Bingley and Jane purchase in the north at the end of P&P, nor does she at any time in her novels place such value as I recall. The estate's earnings are often disclosed but not the overall value.

Can anyone think of an example of where this is not true, where the market value of an estate is stated?
