Yes, the men were played with too. I recall seeing the carictures, especially ones referring to the, uh, limbs. However, the artists trade was made up of mostly men (I've not heard of the ladies in this profession but I am not assuming they were not there, just not likely) and so most of the carictures in the fashion sense were of women, and of those men that did not adhere to the average man, that is, perhaps the dandies, effeminates and so forth.
