Gilpin is not in the index. I've not even started reading the book yet (and it is sooo long) but I think I can assume he's not in it. He is listed in the index of 'The Pleasures of the Imagination' though by John Brewer (this book is in the biblio I believe). Quite a few pages are numbered in the index. Let me know if you've not actually read this book and if not, I can quote from it. )
