..long shot,I know, but on re-reading Diedre Le FAye's bio this jumped out at me. JA knew another dragoon- his name was Captain Jean Capote de Feuillide of the (French )Queen's Dragoons. And if anyone still isn't aware, he actually had no right to call himself "Count".....
