] Jane .....spent several years at Abbey School, in Reading, during the 1780s. The school was housed in a former abbey, complete pointy Gothic windows and towers. If only Catherine Morland had been so lucky!

Apparently Reading Abbey School was housed in one of the buildings that was at the gateway to Reading Abbey. I understand that the actual school building was renovated and is one of only three original abbey buildings. Has anyone seen a picture of what JA might have known as the abbey and school?
