Thank you for your comments, Leif, and sorry about the delay. The series will continue, but has been delayed. In part it was due to other commitments taking up much of my time; I also needed to track down some details on her brothers' naval careers.

I was also uncertain about the propriety of discussing one conflict while we had another "hot" one taking place at the same time (and whose course, at that time, seemed uncertain).

Next installment should appear in the next few days. Others will follow, but as the "campaign season" is fast approaching re-enactments will be taking up my weekends when I could be in front of the computer.
