In P&P, I thought it was structurally like a gallery in a theater: an elevated floor overlooking rooms below, and of course, large enough to hold MANY family portraits. After reading NA, a gallery seems to be more like a hallway. Which is it? How did it look in the P&P movie?

In the movie, it looked like a large spacious "hallway." (Think of it like an art gallery or art museum.)

I can't remember what it looked like in P&P1, which I believe you have seen.
