Another side note: a hot topic of royal gossip in about 1485 was whether Richard III would marry his niece, Elizabeth, daughter of his brother Edward IV and sister of the murdered princes in the Tower. (Eventually she married Henry VII and produced Henry VIII, so I suppose she could be said to be prematurely C of E, in a way)
