JA's most illustrious family were the Leighs. Her great-aunt Mary Leigh (her mother was again one of those pesky Brydges)married Hungerford Hoskyns.

His grandparents were....Bennet Hoskyns and Anne Bingley. the Bennet name came from a maternal surname.

(Out of interest, Hungerford and Mary had five daughters, Jane, Mary, Cassandra, Annabella and Lydia. I only know of one of them marrying and that was Cassandra. She married a Francis Woodhouse)
