I live with one.

He finds him a great general. But I am assured that my husband knows that he is not Napoleon( which is a relief). My husband also seems to have great admiration and affection for serveral of his generals, Ney inparticular. He is one of those who argue that Napoleon lost Waterloo, not that Wellington won it(?).

I find him a handy refernce book for the background to JA's novels. But I don't share the reverence for the man. His letters are very interesting, however.
