Pardon my ignorance. I was wondering, while reading the description of Sir William Lucas in P&P recently whether his was the same type of title as, say, Paul McCartney's? Meaning, when he's gone, the title will not pass to the oldest little Lucas son? Was Lady Russell's husband's title the same type?
