Somewhere in these fascinating threads is the remark that JA seems not to have liked Warren Hastings much. But don't you agree she liked Col. Brandon a lot? And her cousin/sister-in-law Eliza certainly was no victim!

But I gotta agree, the coincidences are intriguing!
