] No definite age ... except one had to be adult,i.e. 21, to actually hold a seat.

I don't have any figures, but my general impression is that an MP would be expected to have a certain amount of maturity. Thirty seems about right to me for a man in Darcy's postion. Pitt (the Younger) was recognized at the time as a prodigy.
