It seems that number of females that posed as men was not large. Acording to O. Hufton, during the 1500-1800 period, fifty odd such women were discovered in Britain (there might have been more). Of that number, only 16 were soldiers or sailors; while those in the navy were sent back, a few of those in the army were mainteined in their ranks and some received pensions.
