After Gand (Ghent maybe?), seems to be Ostande (Ostende, surely). In the next line comes "_ouay", which is probably Douay (Douai), and further down something that looks like Courtras. In the third line is Mons at the start, and after La Hollande, Namur, Louvin (Louvain), Liege, Ma_trex, and Aix (Aachen). The last line is Sanlis (Senlis), Compiene (Compiegne), Noyon, St. Quentin, and a blur. The whole thing is a remarkable tour of WWI battlefields--all you need is Ypres, Cambrai, Verdun & a few others to round it out (-:
