I went briefly to the British Museum yesterday. I arrived a little early and just HAD to visit the shop (well, you know how it is ;-) )

And sitting there, all innocent smiles, was The Jane Austen Cookbook by Maggie Lane. Well, what could I do with a MT about JA's life and times coming up.

The DH rolled eyes to heaven, but I assured him that this was in the interest of serious historical research.
