I get it!
In Response To: A toast rack... ()

] The toast rack is one of the most stupid inventions ever made. It is like a grill in which slices of toast, fresh and delicious from the fire, can stand to get cold and hard.

So just like your normal latter-day toast rack? Must mean that the Terrace house kitchen sent Arthur Parker fresh-cut slices of bread standing in said toast rack ready for him to toast to perfection and either stand back in toast rack to go cold or to slather with butter and devour when his sisters weren't looking. Thanks Linden.
