] Deemac put some good stuff ont he routes of ordination above, so i wont go into them, but i would like to add some small points. I dont know what bishop would ordain idiots like Collins and Wickham, but i do know that the Bishop would not provide a living for a newly ordained priest. Priests (vicars, sorry) were provided for by Patrons, in P&P, Lady Catherine gave Mr Collins Hunsford, and so could pick and choose who they appointed to be vicar in their parish.
