Does anyone know whether there was a reverse correlation between wealth and famiy size in JA's time? There's not much data there, but the Price family had what--9 kids or something--and a lot of the wealthiest families only had one or two -- like the Darcy's, Woodhouses, etc. The largest of the wealthy families would be four children--the John Knightley's, and the Bertrams, right?
