Thank you for the further clarity, Caroline. I should know better, but that's one of the drawbacks of such a enjoyable adaptation, one can so easily supplant adaptation for book in one's mind. You are quite right, Lady Catherine is much more considerate in Austen's own version than she would appear to be in P&P2. Still, I can so readily imagine David Bamber's Mr. Collins.....
