I saw! It's an American version of my book!

] my post above for another edition of your "Instructor" which I've only just now been looking at - kind regards.

Forgive all the exclamation marks, but I was really amazed at the coincidence. It really is a case of grat minds thinking alike, isn't it?

Mind you, my edition of The Instructor doesn't contain that nice poem about the way to write correctly. (Hold your Pen lightly, gripe it not too hard/And with due Care your Copy well regard...etc) Wonder why it's 'gripe' and not 'grip'?

Anyway, thanks very much for the link which was very enlightening. I loved reading Martha Ballard's diary excerpts. And it made me feel quite famous, having a copy of the very book featured on the site. If I'd known in advance, it would have saved me a lot of scanning.
