In Response To: Could the Colonel marry? ()

] So, does anyone know how much a Colonel made then?

Click the "FAQ" link at the top of your page.

Find the "Life and Times FAQ" link on that page and follow it.

Near the bottom of the page is an "Officers' Pay" link.(Also linked in this message.)

This says that a colonel got between £1.2s.6d and £1.16s.0d per day, depending on what branch of the military they were in. (£410 to £657 per year, assuming they get paid for 365 days a year.)

Disclaimer: I don't actually know anything about this - I just remembered having seen this in the FAQ.
