Jane Austen
In Response To: Many thanks, Caroline... ()

] for your message. I wasn't aware that the scope of the Board, entitled (explicitly) "Jane Austen's Life & Times", had been reduced to a consideration only of "Jane Austen and her works". If the title of the Board were more explicit about this, things would be clearer. A new title could be "Jane Austen and her Works & Characters", which might focus readers' minds more in the way desired.

The board subheader reads, "A place where Republic citizens may reach a deeper understanding of Austen's works through a better understanding of her life and times."

We are a Jane Austen site and hope that fact, in itself, would be sufficient to focus readers' minds. This board, like the site is focused on Jane Austen. I am not sure what part of that you don't find clear, but if you have further questions about it, please ask them at the Help Board.
