In Response To: the season ()

] I always thought that the season started after easter had it's Highlight with things like Ascot, the Derby and Wimbolden and was over in time for the grouse shotting season which started on the 12th of August. I have also heard of the little season I don't know when this was though.

Thanks to everybody who responded, but Michelle Jean Hoppe's article says that the season went on until August 12th, while Louisa P's researches indicate that it ended in June, after the king's birthday. Can anybody clarify this last part? I'd really like to know! Thanks again!
