In Response To: Please be more explicit ()

] This post doesn't seem to have anything explicit about Jane Austen and her works. If you intended the connection to be made between your topic and JA, please expand a little further. For example, how do you know that kissing doesn't go on in JA's novels? How do you know that they didn't hug? If you are not interested in discussing Jane Austen in relation to the contents of your post, then you may wish to consider taking it over to Dregston Chronicle, a history board outside Pemberley which is happy to take such topics. Please take this link...

I'm relatively new to Pemberley and assumed that discussing Jane Austen's Life and Times on this part of the site meant I could ask a question like this since I did mean it in reference in general to most JA characters and how they behaved in the books. There seemed to be little contact(in a romantic manner as in kissing/hugging & the like)and between Darcy/Lizzie, Jane/Bingley, Emma/Mr.Knightly etc. and how after such little passion these couples were able to marry.

I think you've got more than one question here.....
Why does everyone seem to think
No body contact before marriage
Yes, thankyou Caroline
