Showing some leg...
In Response To: The way men dressed.. ()

] I'm not sure if this has been asked before but a picture from P&P prompted this question that.....did men really dress with those capri like pants exposing their legs?
] Somehow it make Darcy looks so unappealing :(

The men are wearing stockings underneath their breeches, so their legs are not exposed. When outdoors or riding, I believe they often wore tall boots over the stockings.

There are some excellent Regency Fashion websites out there that provide excruciating detail on all this, including one here at Pemberly - see link below. Good luck!

Most of the information I've seen, at ROP at elsewhere, focuses on women's fashion, however. Does anyone know of a site that addresses men's clothing in detail?
