Jahttp://die_meistersinger.tripod.com/mary2.html puts the date of Robertson's history of MAry QOS, etc. at mid nineteenth century. However, I'm ready to believe that they got the date wrong by 100 years, because other sites claim 1749 for this work. It's interesting that this is another MQOS connection for JA... and interesting that this is from the mouth of Miss Tilney, too.
