Did somebody say, "Patrick O'Brian"?
In Response To: Jason, thank you ()

Jack Aubrey is appointed to command the horrible old Leopard in Desolation Island. POB describes the Chesapeake Affair near the end of the novel, in connection with the episode in which the American sealer puts into Desolation Island and meets the leaky Leopard.

The Leopard appears briefly in the next novel in the series, The Fortune of War, as Jack limps her into port in the East Indies. Later in the book the American authorities Jack about his command of Leopard while Jack is recuperating from his wounds in the Boston hospital-cum-madhouse.

Leopard appears once more, in The Surgeon's Mate, when, converted to a humble transport, it carries Stephen to Stockholm.

As you can tell, I went through a phase of Patrick O'Brian Mania. A nice padded peg leg and a big glass of three-water grog to you, Debra!

PS to Jason. Good stuff, Captain!
