Francis Austen's career

Thank you for that, Lindy. I could only make vague guesses for some of the dates for Frank's postings, so it clears up a few things for me.

Those are all the ships he served on after making "Post Captain". It is possible the list was only intended to cover that part of his career.

Francis started out as a Volunteer in "Ferseverence". Upon making Midshipman he moved on to "Minerva"; as Lieutenant he served on "Lark", "Glory", and "Andromeda". He was than assigned to "Triton", but upon being promoted to Commander was given command of the Sloop, "Peterell". When he "made post" he went into "Neptune", which is the first one on the list you show.
