] What is it about the portraits of the Darcys that makes you think of Romney?

it's just that of the portrait-painters previous mentioned I think that Romney, and some of his paintings (so far as I havee seen them) reminds me the most of the Darcy portraits.

The painting of Darcy in P&P2 is not very 'detailed' and seems to be painted with "big strokes" if you understand what I'm saying. the background is rahter 'dark' and 'soft' and from the picture I have it almost seems "watercolorish" or "acquarelish"
