In Response To: The book! ()

] Searching the net for Romney's work I came upon a namesake: Anne, The Duchess Of Cumberland. In her hand is a book much in the same relaxed fashion as can be seen in the P&P2 Darcy portrayal. And isn't her position divested of the stiff formality designed to impress the beholder? Just like Darcy is. There is still dignity but sort of more human.

it's a great portrait, I never saw that one before while searching trough internet. It "feels" like Darcy's potrait IMO. very 'human' indeed and she has that "almost" smile (at least you cannot say she looks severe) what the P&P2 portrait has.
